Over 100 years ago, back when the world was in black and white, one man wanted to bring colour to the tables of New Zealand. That man was Fred Whitlock. Fred was a real man, beard down to his chest (before it was fashionably ironic), hunted for his own meat and made his own moonshine. Wanting to round out his two-dimensional diet, he created a series of delicious sauces and chutneys.

They became the pride of Whanganui, back when it was called Wanganui, and are still on shelves today. But somewhere in the last century, Fred's name dropped off the label. We didn't reckon that was right. So we've brought it back.
