Ingredients

  • Gochujang Sauce:

    gochujang

    rice vinegar

    honey

    sesame oil

  • Fried Chicken and Velveeta Shells and Cheese:

  • Velveeta Shells and Cheese

  • 1/2

    tsp

    garlic powder

  • 1/2

    lb

    frozen popcorn chicken, cooked as directed

  • 1

    tbsp

    gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes)

  • 1

    tsp

    sesame oil

  • 1

    tsp

    honey

  • 1

    toasted sesame seeds, for garnish

  • 4

    green onions, sliced on the bias


Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Gochujang Sauce

    In a small bowl, combine all the gojuchang sauce ingredients, set aside.

  2. Step 2

    Fried Chicken and Velveeta Shells and Cheese

    1. Add the cooked popcorn chicken (fresh out of the oven) to a large bowl and drizzle with sesame oil and honey. Season with gochugaru and 1-2 tablespoons of gochujang sauce. Toss to coat.

    2. Cook the Velveeta Shells and Cheese according to package directions. When you mix in the cheese sauce add 2-3 tablespoons of the gochujang sauce, garlic powder and stir to coat.

    3. To serve the Shells and Cheese, top with seasoned popcorn chicken, a drizzle of gochujang sauce if desired, toasted sesame seeds and green onions.
