A cookie lover's dream: Homemade, chewy chocolate cookies with chunks of chocolate, coconut and toasted pecans.


Ingredients

    (225 g) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided

  • 1

    cup

    flour

  • 1/2

    tsp

    Magic Baking Powder

  • 1/4

    tsp

    salt

  • 1/2

    cup

    butter, softened

  • 1/2

    cup

    packed brown sugar

  • 1

    egg

  • 1

    tsp

    vanilla

  • 1

    cup

    flaked coconut, toasted

  • 1

    cup

    chopped pecans, toasted


Instructions

  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 375°F.

  2. Step 2

    Chop 4 oz. chocolate; melt remaining chocolate as directed on package. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in medium bowl. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well. Blend in melted chocolate. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in chopped chocolate, coconut and nuts.

    Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.

  4. Step 4

    Bake 10 min. or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch. Cool on baking sheets 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
